While Martin Luther’s message of the Reformation was circulated through a variety of sources, one must consider the use of music in the Church as being very influential in the spreading of his ideas, since music was highly regarded by Luther. Luther emphasized the value of God’s Word, and he saw music as a means to share the Truth from the Bible. Luther even compared the importance of music to that of theology.
