Both business models and business processes experienced a lot of research in the past. However, when it comes to the intersection of both topics, extant knowledge seems to be rather scarce, even though research in this field could provide important insights for both theory and practice. The goal of this paper is to synthesize extant work at the nexus of business models and business processes. Towards this end, we performed a systematic literature review and analyzed the results with a grounded theory approach.
