To develop and implement an active aerodynamics system to be used on the formula student car This project tackles the design of a Drag Reduction System (DRS) for a Formula Student single-seater. In the first instance, the goals, targets and requirements of this project are gathered. In addition, some research is done on aerodynamics and fluid dynamics to understand better the concepts treated in the studies. From then, the design begins with the aerodynamic approach using potential flow solvers and CFD simulations. This is made to understand the forces acting on the system and also design the mechanism.
