Analysis of structural relations of inbound tourism in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

This thesis focuses on inbound tourism in the Czech Republic and Slovakia between 2003 and 2018. Using causal modelling both countries are compared in terms of tourism and consequently the impact of tourism on their economies is evaluated. The aim of the thesis is to find out what effect different indicators have on inbound tourism of selected countries. These indicators are e.g.: prices in destinations, wages and salaries, foreign trade, balance of payments, consumer confidence index, unemployment, labour productivity and others. Structural equation modelling in R software environment with packages sem, tempdisagg and forecast is used to verify the dependencies. Using first and seasonally differenced input data was found out that the tourism of both countries is influenced by different indicators.Práce se zaměřuje na příjezdový cestovní ruch České republiky a Slovenska mezi lety 2003 a 2018. Užitím kauzálního modelování jsou porovnány obě země z hlediska cestovního ruchu a následně zhodnocen vliv cestovního ruchu na jejich ekonomiku. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak na příjezdový cestovní ruch mají vliv ukazatele jako například: ceny v cílových destinacích, mzdy a platy, zahraniční obchod, platební bilance, index spotřebitelské důvěry, nezaměstnanost a další. K ověření závislostí je sestaven model simultánních rovnic s využitím softwarového prostředí R a doplňkových balíků sem, tempdisagg a forecast. S využitím první a sezónní diference vstupních dat bylo zjištěno, že na cestovní ruch obou států mají vliv odlišné ukazatele
