Comparison of corporate income taxation in the Czech Republic and Canada

This diploma thesis deals with the corporate income tax, specifically with the comparison of taxation rules for corporations in the Czech Republic and Canada. The objective of this thesis is to compare the approach of the corporate and passive income taxation in both countries and point out the main differences between the tax systems in these areas. Based on the comparison, the thesis will confirm or refute the tested hypothesis which assumes that the Canadian tax system applies higher taxation than Czech tax system in the respective areas. The diploma thesis also sets out possible recommendations for the Czech tax law based on the comparison.Tato diplomová práce se zabývá korporátní daní, konkrétně komparací pravidel zdanění korporací v České republice a v Kanadě. Cílem práce je porovnat přístup ke zdanění příjmů právnických osob a zdanění pasivních příjmů v obou státech, a poukázat na hlavní rozdíly daňových systémů v těchto oblastech. Na základě komparace bude potvrzena nebo vyvrácena testovaná hypotéza, podle které uplatňuje daňový systém Kanady vyšší míru zdanění než český daňový systém, a to jak ve vztahu ke korporátní dani, tak ve vztahu ke zdanění pasivních příjmů. Diplomová práce dále na základě komparace stanovuje možná doporučení pro českou daňovou legislativu
