The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the reader into the problematics with search engine optimization. In the first chapter, I describe what SEO really is and what is the difference between White-hat and Black-hat. I also inform the reader about on-page and off-page factors. The second chapter is about search engines. It describes how they work, and I also added a short paragraph about history of internet search engines. At the end of the chapter I focused more on the two most popular searches in the Czech Republic – Google and Seznam.
