The transformation of the state suvereignty concept: the case study Frontex

This diploma thesis deals with the concept of state sovereignty in the current operation of the European Union. The thesis analyses this concept on the example of Frontex organization. The task of the thesis is to show which states are the most scared to transfer their competences in the border control area and which states support that. This is shown thanks to the analysis of debating the new Frontex regulation from 2018. The text also deals with other arguments againts the stengthening Frontex, which were used by the member states. Besides that this thesis can be contributive for the understanding of how the legislation process in the European Union works.Tato diplomová práce se zabývá konceptem státní suverenity v současném fungování Evropské unie. Práce tento koncept analyzuje na případu unijní agentury Frontex. Klade si za úkol ukázat díky analýze projednávání nařízení o posílení agentury z roku 2018, které státy se nejvíce obávají ztráty svých pravomocí v otázce ochrany hranic. A naopak, které státy toto nařízení nejvíce podporují. Dále se text zaobírá i dalšími argumenty proti posilování Frontexu mimo obav členských zemí o ztrátu části své suverenity. Mimo jiné práce také může být přínosná z důvodu detailního popisu způsobu přijímání legislativních aktů na půdě Evropské unie
