Entrepreneur and burnout

The thesis deals with the burnout syndrome in a case of a particular entrepreneur. The thesis consists of a theoretical part which defines an entrepreneur and business, followed by the definiton of stress as the main trigger of this mental state, as well as methods to continuously reduce its impact. A definition of burnout syndrome, its history, symptoms, treatment and prevention follows.In the practical part, the author describes a burnout syndrome of a particular entrepreneur, whose condition was mapped with the help of a semi-structured interview. The view of the entrepreneur's condition is complemented by the observations of his partner and co-founder of the company, using the same data-collecting method.The aim of the thesis is to address the causes of burnout of the entrepreneur and to recommend possible procedures which could help to improve his condition.Based on the evaluation of the interviews, the author concludes that the co-owner of the company has the greatest influence on the situation the entrepreneur is facing. Another important factor is the inability of the entrepreneur to put down his mobile phone.Diplomová práce se zabývá syndromem vyhoření u konkrétního podnikatele. Práce obsahuje teoretickou část, ve které je popsán podnikatel a podnikání, následně stres jako hlavní spouštěč uvedeného psychického stavu, a také metody, jak jej průběžně odbourávat. Následuje definice syndromu vyhoření, jeho historie, příznaky, léčba a prevence.V praktické části autor popisuje syndrom vyhoření u konkrétního podnikatele, jehož stav byl mapován za pomoci polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Pohled na podnikatelův stav je doplněn poznatky jeho partnerky a spoluzakladatele společnosti, u nichž sběr dat probíhal stejnou metodou.Cílem práce je postihnout příčiny vyhoření u podnikatele a doporučit možné postupy, kterými by mohl svůj stav zlepšit. Na základě vyhodnocení rozhovorů autor dochází k závěru, že největší vliv na stav, se kterým se podnikatel potýká, má spolumajitel společnosti.
