Comparison of the transport system in Almaty and Prague

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the transport system in Prague and Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan. Its main goal is the analysis of the transport system in Almaty, and its subsequent comparison with the transport system of Prague in order to identify the weaknesses of the transport system in Almaty. The theoretical part contains an explanation of basic terms and definitions. The practical part will introduce Kazakhstan, where the city of Almaty is located, and the presentation of Almaty and Prague itself. First, the state and role of the means of transport of both cities, ticket prices and ways of planning a trip will be presented. Furthermore, the comparison of Almaty and Prague will be performed. The bachelor's thesis will end with a proposal for recommendations for improving the transport system in Almaty.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá porovnáním dopravního systému v Praze a v Almaty, největším městě Kazachstánu. Její hlavním cílem je analýza dopravního systému v Almaty, a jeho následné porovnání s dopravním systémem Prahy za účelem zjištění slabých stran dopravního systému v Almaty. Teoretická část obsahuje vysvětlení základních pojmů a definic. V praktické časti bude představen Kazachstán, kde se město Almaty nachází, a samotné představení Almaty a Prahy. Nejprve se představí stav a role dopravních prostředků obou měst, ceny jízdenek a způsoby plánovaní cesty. Dále bude provedeno samotné porovnání Almaty a Prahy. Bakalářská práce bude zakončena návrhem doporučení pro zlepšení dopravního systému v Almaty
