Specifics of medical practice valuation

This thesis focuses on valuation methods of medical practices, specifically general practicioners. The aim of this thesis is to inform about procedure differences from valuation of other types of businesses and their demonstration.The first part of this thesis introduces the general context of health care system in the Czech Republic and the position of general practices within it. The second part discusses the theoretical aspects of business valuation and presents the main differences from typical procedures in case of medical practice valuation. The final part demonstrates these differences on a valuation of a specific general practice.Tato práce se zabývá postupy oceňováním lékařských praxí, konkrétně všeobecných praktických ordinací. Cílem práce je informovat o odlišnostech postupů oproti oceňování jiných typů podniků a jejich demonstrování na praktickém ocenění.První část práce uvádí obecný kontext zdravotnického systému ČR a postavení praktických ordinací v jeho rámci. Druhá část rozebírá teoretické aspekty oceňování podniku a uvádí hlavní odlišnosti od běžných postupů. Poslední část tyto odlišnosti demonstruje na ocenění konkrétní praktické ordinace
