La búsqueda de objetos de aprendizaje textuales para el profesorado: una forma de integrar a la biblioteca digital universitaria en las plataformas de educación a distancia

Learning management systems are redefining the meaning of higher education. Its development has allowed reproducing the experience of learning without having to go to the classroom. So that the digital library doesn't lose visibility to the college community, it must be actively integrated into the distance educational projects. This conference describes a digital reference service for searching textual learning objects, whose direct users are the teachers. The selected objects are included in the subjects’ bibliographies, which are later accessed by the students from the learning management system. To do so, the reference service must select relevant documents in coordination with the teachers, and provide digital access, observing copyright. Furthermore, as one of the attributes of learning objects is reutilization, their metadata must be described in order to retrieve them later for other subjects. This process will avoid duplication of effort and add value to the found objects
