Audio description has developed into a tool for accessing heritage and, as such, into a social inclusion resource for people with visual impairment. Despite its growing presence in museums, key questions about how it provides access to knowledge are unanswered. In this paper, under the light of Grounded Cognition and Construal Level Theory, we posit that blind or partially sighted people could benefit from and enjoy descriptions with a lesser degree of concreteness referring to visual information.
