L’oxyde de zinc (ZnO) est un semiconducteur possédant diverses propriétés physicochimiques qui justifient son utilisation dans une large gamme d’applications technologiques. L’objectif de cette thèse est de déposer par voie électrochimique des couches minces de ZnO à partir d’un sel de zinc dissout dans un liquide ionique (LI) pur qui joue le double rôle de solvant et d’électrolyte-support. La plupart des LIs possèdent une large fenêtre électrochimique et une bonne conductivité électrique.
