Les alcaloïdes sont des composés largement présents dans la nature. L'étendue croissante des propriétés pharmacologiques de ceux extraits d'une grenouille néotropicale, Dendrobates pumilio, a suscité un intérêt particulier pour leur étude, tant du point de vue synthétique que biologique.
