Social Determinant Relationship with the Pre Eclampsia Events; A Research Cross Sectional

Introduction: The main cause of maternal mortality is pre eclampsia as many as 2 out of 5 maternal deaths. The severe complication ratio is 218/1000 and the mortality ratio of pregnant women is 198/1000. Hypertension accounted for 16 (28.1%) of 57 cases with severe complications while bleeding and abortion were 14 (24.6%) (1). MDG Targets 1 to 3 in Study 2 which divided economic status, education and gender equality into 3 Es. This states that social factors contribute to risk factors including pre eclampsia. The aim of this study is the social demographic determinants associated with the incidence of pre eclampsia. Methods: Research is a survey research with a cross-sectional study approach, which was carried out during 23 June to 28 July 2018 at the Bontomanai Health Center in Jeneponto District. A sample of 45 women who experienced pre eclampsia from January 2016 to June 2018. Data analysis with Logistic Regression to connect between dependent and independent variables. Variable proximity is seen using Odds Ratio (OR). Results: Pre severe eclampsia was 26 people (57.8%) and mild preeclampsia were 19 people (42.2%). Education is not a factor that influences the incidence of preeclampsia (p = 0.056> 0.05) with a large risk of 8.929 fold (CI = 0.946-84.224). Work is not a factor that influences the incidence of preeclampsia (p = 0.178> 0.05) with a large risk of 2,424-fold (CI = 0.668-8.799) Conclusion: Subsequent research into the relationship of health status, culture with pre eclampsia
