Determination of nitrocarburized layer depth on surface hardened steels by Vickers method of hardness testing

U radu je dan prikaz različitih postupaka nitrokarburiranja, definirani su slojevi koji nastaju na površini obradka te njihova svojstva. Detaljno su obrađeni postupci nitrokarburiranja u solnim kupkama, plinsko nitrokarburiranje, ionsko nitrokarburiranje, nitrokarburiranje u fluidiziranm slojevima i austenitno nitrokarburiranje. Također je provedeno eksperimentalno ispitivanje uzoraka čelika za primjenu u vojnoj industriji te je određena dubina nitrokarburiranja metodom ispitivanja tvrdoće prema Vickersu.This paper presents a description of the nitrocarburizing processes, surface layers and their properties. Processes of the nitrocarburizing in salt baths, nitrocarburizing in gas, fluidized nitrocarburizing, plasma nitrocarburizing and austenitic nitrocarburizing are explained in detail. Further, experimental investigation of the steel samples, for application in the military industry, was carried out and the depth of the nitrocarburization surface layer was determined by the Vickers hardness test method
