The three R’s – reduce, reuse and recycle – is a waste hierarchy. It is also known as the order of priority of action to be taken to reduce the amount of waste generated. These principles have always been encouraged since a young age to be incorporated into our daily lives. By implementing these principles, waste can be reduced so that less amount of it goes to the landfill, thereby reducing carbon footprint.
