Caption: "Oklahoma City's new convention center starts coming out of the ground, as can be seen in the aerial photograph looking northwest. In the foreground, foundation work is well under way, and ome first-floor construction has begun. Excavation is complete on the west portion and most supporting piers have been sunk. The center is expected to be completed in early 1972, with the first convention booked into it in 1973.
