Contractor Duard Pyle's earth-movers are beginning work on the first leg of the new U.S. 77 thoroughfare. The initial leg, a $3,500,000 project, will stretch 3 1/2 miles from the north bypass at Foundary south to NE 23. Future plans call for extending the four-laner to connect with a cross-town, elevated bypass at or near E Reno. The projected second leg would cost $1,800,00.
