Roy Hofheinz, who conceived the idea for the Astrodome and holds a 50-year lease on the dome structure, announced the building of the Astroworl. the park will have more than 50 features and more than 6000,000 cubic yards of dirt have been moved to the site to make mountains, lakes and rivers required. Hofheinz said he hopes to have the park ready for visitors by next summer.
