Camp Polk, March 26-It's honoestly and truly goodbye now for fighting 45th division, which for the second time in less then 10 years is going overseas. The actual date of depature and the port of embarkation still are top secret, but everything is crated and waiting. And after the huge parade here Monday morning, when all the troops marched in review for their commanding general and Gov. Murray, anything yet to happen in the states will came as an anti-climax......For more than an hour combat boots crunched by to the music of the famed 45thy division band and to the narration of Lt. Col. George A. Fisher, division military government officer, who recounted the exploits of the proud Thunderbirds over a public addres system. Then it was over. Just like that. The last company passed by and no one wanted them to. They wanted to bring the men back, wnated to watch a little longer.
