A two-larm fire at an abandoned northeast Oklahoma City apartment building were extinguished by firemen Friday afternoon in less than 10 minutes. The blaze in the 1800 block NE 4 broke out at about 6:15 p.m. A second alarm was sounded because the area surrounding the building is heavily congested with other vacant buildings where the fire could have spread rapidly, said District Fire Chief Carthel Miller...The building has been vacant for more than a year.
