Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "Silhoutted statue seems to lose its cold metal immobility; it could be stop-action photograph of a by-gone day. The statue in shadow, in front of the state capitol, lives up to its title, "The Romantic Rider of the Range." The wandering nature of the rider may again be appeased as the statue is scheduled to be moved when the capitol expressway becomes a reality. The rider and horse are to be removed from the south side of the capitol and relocated between the two new capitol office buildings.
