The aim of this study was to select optimal solvent or mixture of solvents, in order to unite the polymers: polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polypropylene (PP), through the theory of Hansen Solubility Parameter (HSP). For this, we used a software called HSPiP (Hansen Solubility Parametes in Practice). This program provides a chemical library with thousands of chemicals and provides information about the forces that make up the HSP of these products. When parameterized polymers, the software make an indicating of the most suitable solvents. Thus, the main solvents were selected according to criteria of viability of use and application.
