Most strategies to separate sperm from seminal fluid andselect subpopulations with high fertilization capacity aretypically based on sperm motility and vitality or densitygradients. In addition, there are emerging methods ofseparation that are based on sperm membrane integrity andcellular ultra-morphology. In the present mini-review, wepresent recently introduced methodologies for spermselection, which after their validation, may lead toimprovements of assisted reproduction outcomes.Fil: Liaudat, Ana Cecilia.
