Many authors have highlighted the importance of parents' education as a better predictor of intellectual achievement and an important factor for the cognitive development of the child compared with other demographic variables. The presence of significant differences across the intellectual WISC-IV profiles of 2,200 children and adolescents between 6 and 16 years classified according to their parents' education was investigated. In line with the literature, our results show significant differences between subtests and indexes.
