41st PIERS, Rome, Italy, 17 - 20 June 2019Supercontinuum generation, and correspondent pulse compression, derived from the dispersion management of ultrashort Gaussian pulses at the output of a passively mode-locked ring fibre laser at 1.56 microns with an InN SESAM is investigated experimentally. A very broad optical spectrum is obtained while retaining mode-locking and compressing the pulse width down to around 100 fs
