O processo de construção democrática em uma escola pública de João Pessoa (PB)

This work aims to analyze the process of democratic construction in a public school in João Pessoa-PB, in which it tends to provide normative discussions according to the regulatory documents of education. Its importance was to problematize social experiences in educational spaces, emphasizing the quality of the educational system, which requires participatory democratic management, built and reconstructed by the educators themselves involved in the schooling process, as well as parents of students and residents of the community. With a general objective, to analyze how the process of democratic construction of a public school occurs, how to specify the conception of the management team on participatory democratic management; identify and contextualize the contributions to the construction of a democratic school. Therefore, it was based on the collection of data on school diagnosis, observation of participants and notes in a field diary, in order to contemplate the more general aspects of the school, such as infrastructure, pedagogical aspects, its history and its documents. These instruments proposed to better understand the complexity in which democratic construction is inserted. In this segment, through semi-structured interviews, the manager's demographic data, his conceptions about the role of director and democratic actions in a participative school are addressed. The school had the result of a participative democratic management, in the sense of the challenge of striving for an organizational culture centered on the sharing of ideas, always seeking in daily life, basic alternatives for the association of efforts, implementing problem solutions, avoiding divisions and solidifying group commitments. It is concluded that the challenge would be to break the traditional practice of the state, which imposes itself on the role of the director. However, in this way the state robs it of the incentives for participatory democratic management.Este trabalho objetivou analisar o processo de construção democrática em uma escola pública de João Pessoa(PB) mediante a formulação da seguinte questão de pesquisa: como a gestão da Escola Municipal Anaíde Beiriz construiu seu processo democrático, especialmente no que se refere a uma gestão participativa? O objetivo geral foi analisar como ocorre o processo de construção democrática de uma escola pública, com especial atenção à concepção da equipe gestora sobre gestão democrática e participativa. Sua importância foi trazer à tona algumas experiências educacionais, enfatizando a qualidade do sistema educacional que requer uma gestão democrática participativa, construída e reconstruída pelos próprios educadores/as envolvidos no processo de escolarização, bem como pais de alunos e moradores da comunidade. Teve como premissa a coleta de dados sobre diagnóstico escolar, observação dos participantes e anotações em diário de campo, a fim de contemplar os aspectos mais gerais da escola, como infraestrutura, aspectos pedagógicos, sua história e seus documentos. Esses instrumentos propuseram entender melhor a complexidade na qual a construção democrática está inserida. Nesse segmento, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, com a abordagem dos dados sociodemográficos do/a gestor/a, suas concepções sobre o papel de diretor e as ações democráticas de escola participativa. Dentre os resultados obtidos, houve um destaque para o empenho da escola para a efetivação de uma gestão democrática participativa, no sentido de primar por uma cultura organizacional centralizada no compartilhamento de ideias buscando sempre no cotidiano alternativas básicas de associações de esforços, implementando soluções de problemas, evitando divisões e solidificando empenhos no grupo. A conclusão éque um dos desafios a serem enfrentados pela Escola Anaíde Beiriz seja a ruptura da prática tradicional do estado, que tende a se impor sobre a função da gestão.
