Educação Física e o discurso sobre antienvelhecimento na revista Boa Forma

Aging has ceased to be understood only as a biological phenomenon and is recognized as a condition that can be technologically retarded or avoided through biopolitical investments to preserve and maximize the body. Media vehicles aimed at body care seem to play an important role in this process of rationalization and dissemination of anti-aging discourses. In this context, we question: from what strategies of knowledge and power does the printed media directed to the body care present the anti-age as a normative logic in the practices of self care? Our goal is then to identify and analyze these strategies that present anti-age as normative logic. This is a qualitative research, with Foucault's theory as the guiding reference. The covers of the editions of the year 2015 of the magazine BOA FORMA were used as corpus. We identified that the magazine presents a idea of a "not old" body associated with vigor, strength, thinness, curves, muscular firmness in detriment of the fat and sedentary lifestyle that are associated with aging. Physical exercise is used by the magazine as a central element in the concretization of an "attitude of good shape", a mode of subjectivation that uses young (or apparently young) body production as support.O envelhecimento tem deixado de ser compreendido apenas como fenômeno biológico, sendo reconhecido como condição passível de ser tecnologicamente retardada ou evitada mediante investimentos biopolíticos para preservar e maximizar o corpo. Veículos midiáticos direcionados aos cuidados corporais parecem ter um papel importante neste processo de racionalização e divulgação de discursos antivelhice. Neste contexto, questionamos: a partir de que estratégias de saber e poder a mídia impressa direcionada aos cuidados corporais apresenta a antivelhice como lógica normativa nas práticas de cuidado de si? Nosso objetivo então é identificar e analisar essas estratégias que apresentam a antivelhice como lógica normativa. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, tendo a teoria de Foucault como referencial condutor. As capas das edições do ano de 2015 da revista BOA FORMA foram utilizadas como corpus. Identificamos que a revista apresenta uma noção de corpo “não velho” associado ao vigor, força, magreza, curvas, firmeza muscular em detrimento da gordura e do sedentarismo que estão associados ao envelhecimento. O exercício físico é utilizado pela revista como elemento fulcral na concretização de uma “atitude de boa forma”, modo de subjetivação que utiliza a produção de corpo jovem (ou aparentemente jovem) como suporte
