This paper presents the identification ofpiezoelectric actuated nanopositioning system. The open loopcharacteristics of the system are analyzed on the basis oftime and frequency response and depicts that the open loopcharacteristics of the system are not satisfactory and requiresome control technique to improve system characteristics.Through the years, several control techniques have beenstudied to improve the performance of the system.
