The purpose of this project is to develop a replacement device for the bag valve masks by using an electric blower based portable emergency ventilator. This device will effectively provide constant positive airway pressure to the patient thus maintaining an open airway. It will give the operator the ability to deliver specific pressures and volumes of gas to their patient at regular intervals as the operator sees fit. The device will be portable and powered by a rechargeable battery pack contained within the casing
