This paper presents a commercial oriented SpaceBorne wind sounder LIDAR (SBL) system, which is designed for advanced remote sensing purposes. The main objectives of SBL are the measurement of wind velocities, by measuring its Doppler shifted reflection from the various atmospheric layers.
