Seasonal variations of manganese, copper, cadmium, iron, lead, zinc, nickel, chrome, and cobalt were determined in water from Lake Gölbaşı in northern east Mediterranean area. The concentrations of the metals such as Cu, Fe and Zn in water were found higher than Turkish permissable concentrations. Besides, the metal levels in water were compared with national and international water quality criteria, background concentrations and permissible limit
