What do we know about the economic impact of Germany's integration into the world economy on the German economy?

The increasing regional trading blocs and trade agreements between countries underlines the growing importance of economic integration for every country´s economy. The overall purpose of this paper is to identify Germany´s level of integration in the global economy and assess the impact of this integration on its economy. To this end, some steps are taken. In the first step, the levels and dimensions of economic integration are examined. Then, the main theoretical considerations about the impact of integration are determined. In the second step, the economic integration levels attained by Germany, since the end of World War II, are presented. In the last step the impacts of integration are identified through resarch results
