The old fairground. Revitalization of the old trade fair area in Belgrade. Place of dedication, education and deduction

The central topic of this master work is the area of the Old Fairground in Belgrade, Serbia, which went through a lot of drastic changes. This place carries a specific history that was marked out by four main periods. The history starts with 0 phase, which was the first period before any constructions started while the area, with the rest of New Belgrade, was a natural swamp. This was followed by the 1st phase when the famous international fair was built. This period was known as a Golden age and a big rise. After this ally and visually in space. As the waterfront was never developed in any plan, it represents the new focus of the area developed in detail. The problem of this area is becoming a more frequent academic topic that is rarely being presented in public. The aim of this project is to combine the different tendencies and reach the aspects beyond design that are crucial for changing the state of art. period the 2nd phase came, when the Old Fairground experienced a downfall. It became a place of holocaust and a concentration camp. Since then the Old Fairground is in the 3rd phase of oblivion and slow degradation, positively marked only by the development of contemporary art. The condition of this place today is completely inappropriate comparing to its rich history. Therefore the focus of this thesis is how to revitalize, regenerate this place and make all the time layers visible in space. Methods used in this master work were: mind mapping, followed by spatial analysis on two levels: in the wider and project area. Social analysis was also conducted with a questionnaire among the citizens. All this information was included in the DPSIR analysis which preceded the scenario method. Four scenarios were built and combined into one Master plan for 2025, with an overlay method. This plan was connected with a TIMELINE conceptu
