The article presents the analysis of study of influence of design features of existing pumps of combined centrifugal and vortex principle of operation upon the energy balance of a whole pump. The article suggests new design solutions allowing for improvement of reliability and total efficiency of a hermetic tow-stage centrifugal-vortex pump.
