The broadcast media of communication in Nigeria has witnessed changes over the years. It started as strictly a state controlled media based on the assumption that the airwave is a public commodity that must be orderly utilized. But after the deregulation of the industry, additional restrictions on the use of the media became necessary and these became part of Nigeria broadcasting communication policy (or code) guiding the conduct of broadcasters.
