EFEKTIVITAS PENEGAKAN HUKUM DALAM MENANGGULANGI PELAKU PENEBANGAN HUTAN SECARA ILEGAL ( STUDI KASUS DI WILAYAH HUKUM KABUPATEN BULUNGAN, KALIMANTAN UTARA )

The Illegal Forest Clearing Case that occurred on the island of Kalimantan precisely in the North Kalimantan region of Bulungan District which continues to occur from year to year, causing problems regarding Why Forest Police Difficulties in Dealing with Illegal Loggers and How to Uphold Criminal Sanctions against Perpetrators or Groups people who carry out illegal logging in Bulungan District. In answering the problems that arise, the writer uses the sociological juridical method and uses primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data in the form of laws, then analyzed using a comparative method and presented in a descriptive qualitative manner. The results of this study have several problems which cause why the Illegal logging case is still continuing today which is happening in the area of Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan. This problem arises because of the lack of Forest Police Personnel in Bulungan District and the unfolding of enforcement of sanctions against illegal loggers there are 5 (five) factors that do not work as fully or as well as possible. So that the solution that can be applied is to collaborate with the Government and the Security, namely the Police and the Government, to actively participate in providing education to the community around the Forest area in order to maintain the preservation of the Forest
