Artificial Intelligence: An opportunity to improve results in the social dimension of sustainability in global supply chains

The social dimension of sustainability has received special attention from researchers and managers in recent years. However, in supply chain management, many unsolved problems prevent reaching a satisfactory level of sustainability. The purpose of this study is to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to identify the gaps in the apparel supply chain and provide a theoretical framework for decision making. The results indicate that the use of AI machine learning algorithms such as ANN and Markov chains can provide relevant information, such as the correlation between companies and different stakeholders data, providing a way to improve transparency along the chain
