Overview of RF MEMS based impedance tuners and their applications are given in this paper. Presented results show that using RF MEMS technology, significantly better performance can be achieved compared to the active device based counterparts. These key parameters include impedance coverage, maximum available reflection coefficient | MAX|, and linearity of impedance tuners and matching networks
