In many applications numerical simulation of vibration and shock phenomenon need accurate mathematical models of flexible components. Especially mechanical shock and vibration isolators play significant role in the dynamic behaviour in many applications. However, the isolator dynamic properties are often nonlinear with heavy damping and therefore complicated to model. Therefore, typically simulation software does not include accurate enough models of vibration isolators.
