As plantas possuem substâncias denominadas metabólitos secundários que possuem diversas funções, dentre elas a de proteger a planta contra o ataque de organismos patogênicos. O emprego de plantas com propriedades nematicidas para o controle de fitonematoides vem sendo muito estudado e o uso de óleos essenciais representa mais uma alternativa no controle de fitonematoides em pequenas áreas. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito dos óleos essenciais de losna, hortelã-pimenta, orégano e tomilho no controle de Meloidogyne javanica.
