The aim of this work is to produce a prototype of an Integrated Geographic Informative System designed to characterize the seismic vulnerability of the municipalities of the Benevento province. The developed GIS model algorithm is based on a systemic methodology which accounts for interactions among the several factors involved into the system. The implemented algorithm allows to estimate a vulnerability index, which in turn led to the creation of vulnerability maps. This System, which could be enriched with new thematic data will provides the basis for future researches in the field and make available to local decision-makers, agencies and community planners basic information to be used in managing the seismic risk.PublishedCentro C...
