Regular physical activity (PA) and aerobic exercise training are related to a reduced risk of fatal and non fatal cardiovascular events in healthy individuals, in high risk individuals (subjects with hypertension, glucose intolerance/diabetes, dyslipidemia, overweight/obesity), and cardiac patients.
