To provide a short reflective article discussing the extent to which evidence and research are included within radiography training curricula and whether there is a need for change and greater standardisation. Great steps have been taken to harmonise aspects of radiography training programmes across Europe, however, variations do exist, especially in the areas of clinical practice, training hours and inclusion of specific curriculum topics. Limited evidence exists regarding the inclusion of evidence and research; thus, diversity is likely. The majority of training curricula follow the Bologna cycle and both research and evidence components are likely to be included within teaching and assessment.
