Batteries will continue to encounter the problem of dendrite formation until a suitable solution is identified to address the problem. Dendrite formation can short circuit batteries cells, reduce their life span, voltages and cause mechanical abrasion to the cells. Batteries electrodes are part of the approaches that can be used to address these problems but depending on the fabrication of these electrodes and dimensions.
