Formed in 2011 out of a broad commitment to increase the use and understanding of digital methods in meaningful and appropriate ways, the Network aims to: gauge the field, foster debate, build capacity and highlight innovation in the use of digital methods across the social sciences. These aims were reflected in two of the Network’s events at the University of the West of England and the British Library during 2012. The final event, which aims to synthesise the key outputs from Events 1 and 2, and to lookforward to future challenges and directions for digital research, is due to take place at the University of Manchester in March 2013
