This paper derives from the classical Park equations a physical interpretation of the reactive power delivered by rotating electrical machines similar to the well known interpretation of the same quantity in stationary circuits. Some broader results applicable to sinusoïdal quasi steady states are also derived.Calvaer André J. The relation between reactive power and magnetic energies stored in rotating electrical machines.
