From March, after churning, the onset of phytoplanktonic activity was evident from the consumption of nutrients and the dissolved oxygen oversaturation in the surface layers. Orthophosphate (soluble reactive phosphorus) and silica were strongly consumed, and their concentrations dropped to very low levels in the surface layers. This low surface level persisted throughout the rest of the year. The clear-water phase occurred in June, and was accompanied by high transparency. In the deep layers, which were partially reoxygenated by the partial churning, no major release of phosphorus or any significant reduction of nitrogen was observed. The total phosphorus content of the lake fell slightly: the mean concentration was 22.4 μgP•L-1 (1’915 tons). The dynamic pattern seen in the surface layers of Petit Lac was similar to that in Grand Lac, with a high consumption of nutrients once churning had occurred. Since Petit Lac is completely mixed and reoxygenated every year, the bottom level of oxygen remained above the legally-required levels. In Petit Lac, the mean concentration of total phosphorus tended towards 10 μgP•L-1.L’hiver 2009-2010 a permis un brassage partiel du Grand Lac début mars 2010. L’homogénéisation des eaux a atteint environ 150 à 200 m. Dès mars, après brassage, le déclenchement de l’activité phytoplanctonique est mis en évidence par la consommation des nutriments et la sursaturation en oxygène dissous dans les couches superficielles. L’orthophosphate (phosphore réactif soluble) et la silice sont fortement consommés et leurs concentrations baissent jusqu’à atteindre des valeurs très basses dans les couches superficielles. Cette faible concentration en surface perdure tout le reste de l’année. La phase des eaux claires se produit en juin et s’accompagne d’une forte transparence. Dans les couches profondes, partiellement réoxygénées par le brassage partiel, on ne constate pas de relargage important de phosphore, ni de réduction significative de l’azote. Le stock en phosphore total du lac diminue faiblement : la concentration moyenne est de 22.4 μgP•L-1 (1'915 tonnes). La dynamique des couches superficielles du Petit Lac est proche de celle du Grand Lac avec une forte consommation des nutriments dès le brassage. Le Petit Lac étant chaque année complètement homogénéisé et réoxygéné, les concentrations d’oxygène au fond restent supérieures aux exigences légales. Dans le Petit Lac, la concentration moyenne en phosphore total tend à se rapprocher de 10 μgP•L-1
