Diplôme : Dr. d'UniversitéStudies performed during this PhD thesis attempt to improve the understanding of the functioning of microbial communities in French peri-alpine lakes. An important part of this work consisted in analyzing, through different temporal and spatial scales (short vs. long, epivs. hypolimnion), the effects of top-down and bottom-up factors over the intra- and interannual dynamic evolution of the free-living bacterial community structure, by using either ecosystemic or experimental approaches in two lakes with different trophic status (Lake Annecy and Lake Bourget, Haute-Savoie, France). Thanks to the ecosystemic approach, we highlighted an inter- and intra-lake variability of the bacterial community structure along time....
